Field Trips FAQ
Thinking about bringing your group out for a field trip? Here are some information you might need to know.
Your group will get a tour of the largest donkey rescue in the US. You will get to meet many donkeys, learn more about our mission and explore the world of these amazing animals.
Visitors should wear comfortable, closed toes and weather-appropriate gear. Water in a refillable bottle is preferred as the rescue has a No Plastic Pledge.
We have several different modes of transportation depending on your needs. Kids will get to enjoy a train ride around the rescue. The train fits 12 kids with an adult per cart. Adults will be able to tour the rescue on our golf cart that fits 5 people and our tour bus that fits 10. Walking tours are available on request.
Please call (866) 366-5731 or email info@pvdr.org to schedule a field trip. Please provide the number of people that can be expected, the age range of the group and a main contact with a phone number.
Extra Information: Field trips can be cancelled at anytime by PVDR staff. Field trips can be cancelled to do inclement weather. Kids must remain outside of the visitors center unless accompanied by an adult.
