
The Donkey History Museum showcases the important role donkeys have played in human history, from early domestication to their work in farming and transportation. Through engaging exhibits and stories, visitors can discover the intelligence, resilience, and lasting impact of these remarkable animals.

What to Expect
Visitors can enter the museum completely free, making it an easy and welcoming stop for all ages. Guests can purchase a paydirt bag and try their hand at panning through the sluice to uncover real gems. Veterans are also invited to add their name to the Wall of Heroes, a meaningful tribute honoring their service, and visitors can watch documentaries made by Peaceful Valley Donkey Rescue co-founder Mark Meyers, including Donkeys of the Caribbean and Without a Voice: The Eradication of Australia’s Wild Donkeys, which explore the challenges donkeys face around the world.
